A Christ-Centered Recovery Program
Hi, and welcome to Celebrate Recovery at First Baptist Boaz! We’ve been expecting you!
From the first time you join us, you’ll realize there is something different about Celebrate Recovery. You’ll find real people with real struggles being very transparent about their lives and sharing how they are finding freedom in a very real relationship with Jesus Christ.
So, what if you don’t know anything about all this “church stuff”? Like I said, we’ve been expecting you! I (Chris), personally, was an addict for longer than I’ve been a Christian, so we know what it’s like. We’re not going to try to force you to believe like we do or recruit you for our church roster. We will, however, try to define-as-we-go and, when we forget to do so, we are more than happy to explain if you have questions.
And now to answer what may be your most important question – yes, we stamp court cards! Two stamps are given for two hours of attendance; large group (sometimes called a “service”) lasts roughly one hour and small groups (gender-specific and, whenever possible, issue-specific) last about one hour as well. We understand it’s a work night, so we promise to have you out by 8:30 at the latest.
So, what are you waiting for? Join us this Monday night! Oh, and Welcome Home!
- 5:30 pm – Meal in the fellowship hall (around back)
- 6:30 pm – Service in the main auditorium (front of building on Hwy 205)
- 2 stamps for court cards for attendance of both large group (service) and small group (total of 2 hours)
